Jeannette Kaplun

Founder and Chief Content Officer, Hispana Global

An award-winning bilingual journalist and TV personality featured on The Chew, Good Morning America, The Steve Harvey Show, Despierta América, Un Nuevo Día, Tu Día Alegre and other shows, Jeannette Kaplun has successfully managed to forge a multimedia career in both English and Spanish as a lifestyle expert, internationally recognized parenting writer and conference speaker. Born in El Paso, Texas, and raised in Chile, Jeannette launched in 2012 her bilingual platform for Hispanic women, Hispana Global, where she shares tips about parenting, beauty, travel, food, technology, social good and more. In 2014 mom.me recognized her as one of the top 50 mom bloggers and she is followed on social media by thousands. For the past 17 years she has called Miami, Florida her home, where she lives with her husband and two children.

Jeannette is the author of Todobebé: Todo lo que necesitas saber para el primer año de tu bebé (Rayo, 2006), and writes for Babble, Ser Padres magazine, latinamom.me, Moms Clean Air Force and other outlets. She was also part of the first Talk Early bloggers.

Jeannette formerly was the cofounder and Chief Content Officer for Todobebe and co-hosted Univision’s Viva la Familia and Telemundo’s Todobebe, shows that were Emmy-nominated.

Jeannette is the founder and editor in chief of Hispana Global, where thousands of modern Latinas count on her for friendly advice from parenting to beauty, technology to travel. She has worked with brands such as Dove, Tide, Target, Downy, Neutrogena, Skype, Pull-Ups, H&R Block, P&G, Olay and Embassy Suites as spokesperson and brand ambassador.

Jeannette was invited to the White House as part of LATISM’s 2012 Top Blogueras Retreat, has won LATISM´s Best Parenting Blogger award and in 2002 was named as one of the most influential Hispanic journalists by the Hispanic Media 100. In 2014 she was a finalist in the Iris Awards as Web Personality of the Year, the 2013 SXSWi Revolucionario Awards and in 2015 she was a finalist in Hispanicize’s Tecla Awards in the best Spanish blogger category.

She was featured on LeanIn.org as well, and is a Johnson & Johnson Social Influencer for Social Good.

A UN Social Good Fellow, she has participated in the social good campaigns Blogust, 28 Days of Impact and Relay For Kids. She has also been a speaker at major conferences including BlogHer, Blogalicious, We All Grow Summit, EVO, LATISM, Blissdom, Hispanicize, Social Media Week Miami, SheStreams and SheCon. In 2013, she was a guest speaker at the UN Foundation’s Mom+Social Global Summit and also moderated the Global Voices keynote at Mom 2.0 Summit.

In 1999 she cofounded Todobebé, and for 13 years served as Chief Content Officer. Jeannette co-hosted the Emmy-nominated network TV show ¡Viva la Familia! de Todobebé for four years on Univision and the also Emmy-nominated show Todobebé on Telemundo for four years. In 2010 the company received Portada´s Hispanic Digital and Print Media award as Top Content Provider to Hispanic Audiences and in 2006, the Canyon Ranch Institute Prevention Pioneer Award.

Jeannette is passionate about giving back and supports organizations such as ONE.org, Shot@Life, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Bloggers4Haiti and No Kid Hungry.
