April is Alcohol Awareness Month and The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility recognizes this as an opportunity to educate Americans about making responsible decisions regarding beverage alcohol year round. Here is sneak-peak at what The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility will be up to this month:

  • We will be hosting numerous events to educate youth and parents about the dangers of underage drinking through our Ask, Listen, Learn: Kids and Alcohol Don't Mix, Girl Talk, and Brandon Tells His Story initiatives.
  • We will be co-hosting an event on Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day with PE4Life on April 23rd. Olympic gold-medalist Misty May-Treanor and Washington Wizards' Antawn Jamison will speak to kids about the importance of leading healthy and active lifestyles which includes saying 'no' to underage drinking.
  • Through our new partnership with Girl Talk, a peer-to-peer mentoring program that offers positive weekly meetings and community service projects, Girl Talk chapters across the country will highlight their newest lesson, developed in cooperation with The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility, Choices and Consequences of Underage Drinking.
  • Our Ask, Listen, Learn: Kids and Alcohol Don't Mix public service announcements with 25 state Attorneys Generals and Misty May-Treanor will air throughout the month of April and beyond. Watch them now!
