In its efforts to make sure that traffic safety messages can cross linguistic and cultural barriers, the Governors Highway Safety Association has released “Closing the Circle: A Multicultural Primer for State Highway Safety Offices.”

This guide is designed to help Highway Safety Offices to make sure that their messages about traffic safety can reach all groups, regardless of language or culture. The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility’s own Joy Hungate contributed to this publication.

We believe this is an important step. Education is a critical tool in preventing drunk driving, and with distracted driving a growing threat, we believe this is a necessary tool to make our roads safer.
