The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility, official corporate sponsor of Washington Freedom and D.C. United, is the title night sponsor for the doubleheader on Saturday, May 1st. The doubleheader, at RFK Stadium, starts at 4:00pm with D.C. United playing the first game and the Washington Freedom game to follow.

The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility will be there to promote Ask, Listen, Learn prior to the game and hand out cheer sticks as kids enter the stadium. The Ask, Listen, Learn program, along with its Super Stars, remind kids to “say ‘YES’ to a healthy lifestyle and ‘NO’ to underage drinking.” At www.asklistenlearn.com, kids can become members of the Ask, Listen, Learn Team by taking a pledge to make healthy choices. Our Ask Listen Learn site features fun activities for kids and high-resolution athlete pictures. Kids can also read interviews with our SuperStars to learn how elite athletes dealt with peer pressure as they were growing up. Ask, Listen, Learn’s SuperStars encourage kids to make responsible decisions and live a healthy lifestyle.

An Ask, Listen, Learn booth will be set up prior to the start of the D.C. United Game in the Volkswagen Garage at RFK. Here kids can collect prizes and also play the new Ask, Listen, Learn interactive activity. Literature will also be provided to parents on the importance of starting the discussion early about the dangers of underage drinking.

Please come join us at the VW garage prior to the start of the game and cheer on D.C. United and Washington Freedom to victory! Kids, you can also meet outside section 127 at the 75th minute of the Washington Freedom game and you will be escorted down to the field to get an autograph from your favorite DC Freedom soccer star. Only the first 20 kids will be able to get autographs so be early! Hope to see you there!!
