Throughout the years, The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility has had the opportunity to listen to the compelling and inspirational stories of multiple individuals who have experienced first-hand the negative consequences of drunk driving and underage drinking.
One of these stories is the story of Chris Skinner.
Chris Skinner tells his story of how he went from an athletic college student to quadriplegic through a series of poor choices.
This past week, The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility hosted Chris Skinner's presentation at VA Boys State. The program was a huge success, providing each of the young attendees with a thought provoking story.
David Braun, Program Director for the American Legion Boys State of Virginia sums it up best:
“The American Legion Boys State of Virginia, the most respected educational programs of government instruction for high school students, hosted a Chris Skinner presentation last night. He shared his thought provoking presentation with 700 high school students who are currently attending their 69th Session at Liberty University, in Lynchburg, VA. Attendees stated that Skinner’s presentation was better than all the others combined. Thanks to the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility for their support and for making this happen!”
