Thanks to a House Resolution adopted on Monday, Pennsylvanians are observing National Physical Education and Sports Week and, throughout May, National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. The resolution also encourages residents of Pennsylvania to participate in All Children Exercising Simultaneously (ACES) Day on May 4th – today!

Dubbed “the world’s largest exercise class,” Project ACES was created by a P.E. teacher in 1989 to promote proper health and fitness habits. This noncompetitive program motivates millions of kids, teachers and parents to get physically active at their schools and homes. Today marks the 23rd annual Project ACES Day which will be celebrated in all 50 states and more than 50 countries. Most events occur at 10am local time with an educational component followed by 15-45 minutes of exercise.

The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility congratulates all participating schools and encourages YOU to set a positive example and advocate healthier lifestyles, today and year-round!
