Yesterday was a whirlwind of activity as we introduced taekwondo Olympian Steven Lopez to our friends and partners, including the Arlington Science Focus School and Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, Virginia.

Our first stop was with all of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders at Arlington Science Focus School where Steven spoke about his personal path to the Olympics and the healthy choices he made along the way.  The 4th graders stayed a bit longer to play the Ask, Listen, Learn interactive game with Steven – maybe a taekwondo athlete for the 2020 Olympics is in this group!

After a great morning at ASFS, Steven and the Ask, Listen, Learn team headed down the street to Washington-Lee High School where we talked with 175 9th and 10th graders about underage drinking and drunk driving.  With prom season upon us, it was perfect timing to encourage these students to make healthy decisions as they celebrate the end of the year.

Thank you to both Arlington Science Focus School and Washington-Lee High School for having us!  We had a fantastic time with all of the students and look forward to returning next year!
