The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility has been fighting against drunk driving and underage drinking for more than two decades. During this period of time alcohol-impaired driving fatalities have declined 35%, and among our nation's under 21 population such fatalities have declined 60% since the Foundation's formation. Last year 45 states and D.C. had decreases in the rate of alcohol-impaired driving fatalities per 100,000 population. Consumption rates nationally and among those under the legal drinking age showed marked decreases in 2012 reaching historic low levels.
