Brandy Anderson Nannini is the Vice President of Government Relations and Traffic Safety. She is responsible for relationships with Members of Congress, State Attorneys General, Federal agencies, governors, state legislators, and agencies, as well as local elected officials. She is also responsible for the organization’s public policy efforts including the development and implementation of policy positions. Ms. Nannini began her career at the National Office of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. For more than a decade she managed MADD’s state and national public policy efforts. She opened MADD’s first Washington, D.C. office and directed the grass roots advocacy efforts that led to the passage of a national .08 BAC drunk driving limit and countless state underage drinking and drunk driving laws. Ms. Nannini has also led state and national public relations and coalition efforts to establish speeding and red light running laws. She is a board member of the Washington Regional Alcohol Program.

Ms. Nannini graduated from Texas Christian University and is an avid Horned Frogs football fan. Like most Native Texans, she travels home as often as possible to visit family and friends. She loves to travel, spend time with friends and volunteer in her community. She is passionate about improving the lives of people with developmental disabilities.

Ms. Nannini’s most important title is Mom. Her daughter was born with special needs and over the course of seven years, Bella Nannini, taught her mom a tremendous amount about love, life, grace, and God. Ms. Nannini and her son and their rescue dog, Miho, attempt to regularly blog at www.mommyinwonderland.com. It’s also easy to catch up with her in Arlington, Virginia when she is running really slowly in an attempt to exercise.
